Learning Leaders’ mission is to help New York City public school students succeed by training volunteers to provide instructional and school-based support, and by empowering parents to foster their children’s educational development.
For their Annual Report, I wanted to create something that was the antithesis of a dry, staid summary of donors and organizational goals. By focusing the narrative on P.S. 180, one of the 350 New York City public schools served by Learning Leaders, the Annual Report came to life. Filled with great stories and inspiring advice from the parents, teachers, staff and volunteers of P.S. 180 we were able to pull it off: an annual report that volunteers and donors actually read.
I art directed and executed the entire project, showcasing great photography, a playful color palette and an overall vibrancy that matched the spirit of Learning Leaders.
